Mia Dunkley
Mia Dunkley is a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist. She works within the Orthopaedic team at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) where she has worked for sixteen years and she also works at The Royal Surrey County Hospital (RSCH).

Mia qualified as a physiotherapist in 1990 at St Mary’s Hospital and has since worked in numerous London teaching hospitals before undertaking her paediatric experience at GOSH. Her expertise is in the Ponseti technique for treatment of the clubfoot. She has been trained in this technique by Dr Ponseti in Iowa, USA.

Mia also specialises in other foot deformities, hip dysplasia and arthrogryposis.

  • Best of Health Award 2008 - “Adopt, Adapt and Improve” for the Ponseti service at the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Trust
  • James H. Beaty Scientific POSNA Award 2012 – “ A Physiotherapist-led Ponseti Service for the Management of Idiopathic and Non-idiopathic Clubfoot deformity” for the GOSH Ponseti service.
Mia Dunkley has had articles published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Children’s Orthopaedics and has presented at many conferences locally and nationally.
