How to apply

All our current jobs at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Foundation Trust are advertised on our jobs page.

General recruitment information

All our vacancies have an application closing date which is included in the vacancy details. Occasionally we may need to close a post earlier than the stated date due to a large volume of applications. We would therefore advise you to apply early.

If you are shortlisted we will contact you either by e-mail via Trac or by telephone, usually within two weeks of the closing date.

You can find out more in the information pack below. This explains what happens to your application and what you should expect following your interview if you are successful, as well as answering some frequently asked questions.

Our patients come from a very wide range of backgrounds and it's important to us that our staff are equally diverse and bring to the Trust their skills and knowledge regardless of age, gender, race, ethnic origin, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, colour or disability.

We are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and have active Black, Asian and minority ethnic, LGBT+ and Allies , ENABLED (Enhancing Abilities and Leveraging Disabilities) and Women’s staff forums.

We ask all applicants to tell us about their personal information to help us monitor our processes and ensure that we treat everyone fairly. This information is not seen or used by the shortlisting or selection panel.

Criminal records background checks

We will check the criminal record of all successful job applicants to an enhanced level. This will therefore also include a check against the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) Children list.

The presence of a conviction will not necessarily mean that employment is not offered - we will consider the type of offence, the nature of the vacancy applied and all other relevant criteria.

For further information on criminal records and employment please contact our Human Resources Directorate on 020 7829 7925 or visit the Disclosure & Barring Service pages of the Home Office website.
