Hospital life by Collette, 10

I have been here at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) in London for about a year, but before coming here I stayed in two other hospitals. It was frightening when I first arrived here. Everything was new and I didn't know what was going on. I didn't know any of the people.

But, it didn't take me long to get used to everything and everyone.

The other children are nice and I have made a lot of new friends here. The doctors and nurses are all very nice and helpful - they make being here a nice thing.

It's scary going somewhere new and being around strange people, but having been here for a while now, it's not so bad. It's like having another home, where you still get to see lots of your mum and dad, and your friends.
