Patients, families and staff at the hospital got the chance to meet
the characters who will also included Fox, Frog and Hunka Munka mouse.
The
Royal Ballet visit helped to bring smiles to the patients at Great
Ormond Street and made dreams come true for a number of the children.
Art, in all its forms, plays a vital role at Great Ormond Street
Hospital and the ‘GO Create!’ Arts programme helps to enhance the
healing environment and improve the hospital experience for patients,
families and staff.
The varied programme of activities at the
hospital, ranging from visual arts, to music and creative writing,
actively supports creativity and learning. It provides new experiences
and creates less stressful, child-friendly surroundings which are
relaxing and engaging.

for ‘GO Create!’ says, “Bringing world class performers into the
hospital to visit our patients helps to raise their spirits at what can
be a difficult time. Having the opportunity to see how the costumes look
close up and ask questions was extremely exciting and empowering and
created a distraction from the hospital environment for an afternoon and
I would like to thank The Royal Ballet for giving the children and
young people being treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital this
wonderful experience.”
