Family lawyer appointed at Great Ormond Street Hospital

Yvonne Brown has been appointed as a non-executive director of Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust. 

Yvonne Brown qualified as a solicitor in 1985 and her main areas of expertise have been children, child protection, family law, and education.  She recently established Legal Management Consulting and is a Consultant with Goodman Ray Solicitors.  She served on the National Committee of the family law organisation Resolution between 2004/2006.   In September 2005 she was appointed to the Solicitors Regulation Authority, where she chairs the Scrutiny Committee.  She has appeared in the Times top 100 lawyers list and was a runner up for the Legal Aid Family Lawyer of the Year.

Great Ormond Street Hospital is one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals, with the widest range of children’s specialists of any UK hospital.  With the UCL Institute of Child Health, it is the largest centre for research into childhood illness outside the United States.

Yvonne Brown’s appointment starts on the 1st July and lasts for four years.  The standard remuneration of £5875 is payable.  She has declared no political activity or Ministerial appointments. [1]
