This year, Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Christmas gift catalogue is
a one-stop shop for all your Christmas requirements. From affordable
essentials like cards, gift wrap, decorations and crackers to special
festive gifts for all the family and exclusive patient designed products
- all in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
Children
will enjoy the colourful animal themed knitwear (£6.00) and the classic
Great Ormond Street Hospital teddy bear (£9.99). Beautifully knitted
stripey stockings will bring a traditional feel to your family’s
fireplace (£5.99) and the ‘name a rose gift box’ (£19.99) is a unique
gift for gardening enthusiasts. The recycled soft leather-bound
notebooks embossed with the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s
Charity logo (£9.50) are an elegant gift for those with a sense of
style. Food lovers will enjoy the gourmet Christmas treats including
delicious cakes, preserves and sweets.
During their stay in the
hospital, some of the Great Ormond Street patients like Siobhan, age 11,
have designed products which feature in the catalogue, including
butterfly motif mugs (£7.50) and ice cream print tea towels (£4.50).
Milly, age 9, has also designed the festive snowman Christmas cards
(£3.99 for pack of ten cards).
Christmas is both a joyous and
poignant time at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Where possible the
hospital tries to help children get better and get home for the big day,
so that Father Christmas does not have to re-direct his route via the
hospital.
The Christmas gift catalogue is an important part of
the charity’s current fundraising efforts, with all proceeds from every
gift benefiting the children and helping to fund pioneering research,
life-saving equipment, accommodation for parents and the rebuild and
refurbishment of the hospital. By purchasing gifts from the catalogue,
you will help to keep the magic alive.
