He joined the Tracheal Team as a Cardiothoracic Surgeon in April 2013.

Qualifications and training
Mazzy qualified in medicine at Imperial College, obtaining a First Class Honours BSc in Anatomy along the way. In 2007, he also obtained a PhD in congenital cardiac surgery under the supervision of Professor Elliott and Professor Robert H. Anderson.
His training in adult and paediatric cardiac surgery took place in London, Birmingham and Pittsburgh.
In 2008, he was awarded the Hunterian Professorship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and the FRCS (CTh) in 2011.
