Working as a family therapist within an inpatient setting and the treatment of children and adolescents with eating disorders.

Qualifications and training

RGN, RMN, Dip Nurse Education, MSc Counselling Psychology, MSc Systemic Psychotherapy, advanced training in the Supervision of Family and Systemic Psychotherapy.

Finella has also undertaken training in mentalization based family therapy and in multi-family therapy.

Finella completed her Family Psychotherapy training at the Institute of Family Therapy and Birkbeck College, University of London in 1998. She has worked in the field of mental health for over twenty five years and as a family therapist since 1999. 

Research interests

Current interests include the impact of eating disorders on family functioning and relationships and parent child interactions.
