Deborah Eastwood

Deborah Eastwood has been a Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon for 15 years.

She has been at Great Ormond Street Hospital for six years and splits her time between here and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital at Stanmore, where she can continue to treat the ‘grown up children’.

Deborah previously worked at the Royal Free Hospital and the Royal North Orthopaedic Hospital.

She says:

“The challenges of dealing with a growing and thus altering musculoskeletal system, are sometimes a delight and a frustration at the same time! It is always amazing to see how children learn to adapt and cope despite problems with function and mobility and extremely rewarding when you can help them walk, ride a bike better, sit comfortably or stand straight and tall.”
