GOSH is one of the largest centres in Europe for children with tumours of the brain and spine. I am proud to work in a multi-disciplinary team that is committed to giving children the best possible chance of being cured from their disease. We work hard to support children and their families to help them achieve the best quality of life after cure.
Dr Michalski has a special interest in children with tumours of the brain and spinal cord. In particular he is interested in primitive neuroectodermal tumours in childhood and tumours occurring in very young children.
Qualifications and training
Registered degrees: MB ChB, MRCP, PhD, FRCPCH.
Dr Michalski trained in paediatrics in Birmingham and London before being appointed as a registrar at GOSH.
He spent a year training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia before returning to GOSH for further oncology training. His PhD work was at the Institute of Child Health in molecular oncology.
He is currently lead for neuro-oncology at GOSH.
