Our current research and development projects include the following:

  • Trialling a patient-centred outcome measure (PCOM) called “What Matters to Me”. This questionnaire asks parents what their biggest worries and concerns are about their child’s feeding difficulty and what progress they hope to make by attending the Feeding Disorders Service. The idea is to be able to use the questionnaire to tailor the care that we provide to meet the needs and expectations of families.
  • Testing a new clinical assessment measure for Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder: The Pica, ARFID and Rumination Disorder Interview (PARDI) (with colleagues in the USA). This will help clinicians to diagnose feeding disorders and measure how severe they are.
