Lactose intolerance

Lactose is the natural sugar found in cow’s milk and the milk of other mammals such as goats and sheep.

Lactose intolerance is when the digestive system can’t break down lactose. This causes unpleasant symptoms such as bloating, wind and diarrhoea. Treatment will be to avoid certain foods.
