Autosomal recessive congenital ichthyosis

Autosomal recessive congenital ichthyosis is a dermatological (skin) condition which is present from birth. It causes a person to have thick, scaly skin.

Ichthyosis is caused by an abnormality in skin growth that results in drying and scaling. There are at least 20 types of ichthyosis.
