Anorexia nervosa

Anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder. It can seriously damage a child’s health if it is not treated properly. It is most common in teenagers and young adults, although it can occur in children as young as eight years old and the elderly.

Around 90 per cent of people diagnosed with anorexia are female, however it can also affect boys.
