Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is seeking to become a membership organisation called a Foundation Trust.

Andrea & Mum

Anyone who lives in England or Wales and is aged 10 and over can become a member – and it’s free! Join our Foundation Trust membership now.

Members can, if they wish, get involved in all sorts of activities, such as taking part in online surveys or coming to the hospital and joining discussions on how hospital services could be developed. Alternatively, members can just decide to receive the newsletter three times a year – it’s really up to you. Find out what it's like to be a member and what it could involve.

The government wants all hospitals to become Foundation Trusts by the end of 2013 and we are currently completing our application with the aim to become a Foundation Trust in 2011.

Members' Council election

Our Foundation Trust application is progressing and as such Monitor, the independent regulator has provided us with a timetable. We are now going ahead with the elections to our Members' Council. Councillors will be ambassadors for the Trust, keep an eye on what the Trust is doing, influencing how decisions are made and services delivered. Learn more about the Members' Council.
