Robin Ward is for children and young people with immune problems who need protection from infection.
Patients with infectious diseases also come to Robin Ward and stay in isolation (away from other patients).
Children and young people tend to stay on Robin Ward for a long time, especially if they have an immune problem, and may be waiting for a bone marrow or stem cell transplant.
Patients on Robin Ward range from newborn to 16 years old.
Staff on the ward
Robin Ward is mainly run by our team of nurses, who work closely with the doctors to help you get better.
Other staff who work on the ward include physiotherapists, healthcare assistants, play specialists and housekeeping staff.

Facilities for children and young people
Robin Ward has a playroom with lots of toys, games and crafts. Once you start getting better, you can leave your cubicle and visit the playroom.
