Quality accounts

Every year, Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) treats thousands of children and young people from different parts of the UK and abroad.

We are dedicated to making sure that the service we provide children and their families is the best it can be.

To help us monitor the quality of our services we measure what we do and how we do it. This is presented in our Quality Accounts.

Our Quality Account details the areas in which we want to focus on quality improvement over the next year. It also provides information on the progress we have made in improving the quality of services since our last Quality Account.

Our current priorities for improving the quality of care we deliver are:

  • Safety– to reduce all avoidable harm to zero
  • Effectiveness – to consistently deliver clinical outcomes that place us among the top five children’s hospital in the world
  • Experience – to consistently deliver an excellent experience that exceeds our patients’, families’ and referrers’ expectations
